Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMeat Market ManagerLocation: 203 Center St E, Eatonville, WA 98328Position Type: On-siteWe are seeking an experienced, dependable Meat Market Manager to lead the daily operations of our meat department. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of meat cutting, merchandising, food safety, inventory management, and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in product quality, an organized department, and a positive customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the meat department’s daily operations and workflowCut, trim, prepare, package, weigh, and label meat productsMaintain attractive, well-stocked displays with fresh, high-quality productsOrder products, monitor inventory, rotate stock, and reduce wasteEstablish production priorities based on sales and customer demandTrain, schedule, and supervise department employeesProvide knowledgeable, friendly service and fulfill special customer requestsMonitor product quality, pricing, labeling, and department profitabilityMaintain clean equipment, preparation areas, display cases, and storage spacesFollow all food-safety, sanitation, workplace-safety, and regulatory requirementsWork collaboratively with store leadership and other departmentsQualificationsPrevious meat-cutting, butcher, or meat-department experience requiredSupervisory or department-management experience preferredKnowledge of meat products, cuts, preparation methods, and safe handling practicesStrong leadership, communication, organization, and customer-service skillsAbility to manage inventory, control shrink, and meet department goalsAbility to work efficiently in refrigerated environments and safely use knives, slicers, grinders, saws, and related equipmentAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsAvailability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysWe are looking for a reliable leader who sets high standards, supports the team, and delivers quality products customers can trust.
