  • Escalate personnel concerns, equipment issues, and operational anomalies to management in a timely and factual manner.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts for turbine systems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve issues efficiently and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze turbine performance data in real time to identify anomalies, trends, and opportunities for improvement; take corrective action within shift authority.
  • Maintain expert-level working knowledge of turbine controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems; serve as the crew's on-shift subject matter expert.
  • Drive adherence to maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures across all crew members during the shift.
  • Develop and communicate long-term maintenance strategies and input to engineering teams based on field observations.
  • Champion a culture of safety on every shift, lead by example in all safety practices, job hazard analyses, and stop-work authority decisions.
  • Ensure the crew maintains full compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards; conduct field-level safety observations and intervene immediately when unsafe conditions are identified.
  • Verify that all work performed during the shift meets quality standards before sign-off and shift handoff.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed shift logs, equipment records, and maintenance documentation for all activities performed during the shift.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise shift handoff reports to the oncoming lead and management team.
  • Actively mentor Turbine Specialists and junior technicians on shift, sharing technical knowledge, field experience, and professional best practices.
  • Identify skill gaps within the crew and provide on-the-job coaching, knowledge transfer, and hands-on training to support team growth.
  • Model the behaviors and technical standards expected of all crew members, reinforcing a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
